Destiny Starts With Serve
Yet, I still belong to you, you are holding my right hand. You will keep on guiding me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Psalm 73:23,24
A young (11 year old) relative of mine, kept asking his youth pastor could he start serving as an usher.
At that point they didn’t have a kid’s usher team. He kept asking, they had a meeting and formed one. One of the first families they called to participate was that young man’s family.
My late husband Varn and I were talking about how proud we were of him (Back in the day for he is now 17) for stepping forward. In fact, we’re proud of all of you who have stepped up to serve in your local church recently. We see the spirit of servanthood aka the Spirit of Christ shining through you the body of Christ all over the world.
Carmen, the music minister and artist said he started in the local church first. He learned how to hear the Holy Spirit and do ministry itself in his local church before he ever went public with his ministry.
You know, all of us who serve on whatever level we serve had to start somewhere in the local church, right? I don’t know anyone that was born into position. And even if they did, they had a beginning. Each person puts his hand to the plow in some small way. The Bible warns us of giving position too fast before the person has a chance to mature and gain character.
With that said, divine destiny usually starts with serve. Over and over again, one after another you start serving then Father God directs you to your destiny and calling, including me. A wise person told me, God can’t direct you standing still. You have to get moving (started serving) and then He directs. It’s kind of like trying to move a car in park, it’s almost impossible.
So if you’ve been asking Father God to show you your destiny and your calling, keep serving and He will direct you. Follow His leading, His prompting and you can be sure you will safely arrive at your divine destiny.
Serving in divine destiny,
